Joint Israeli-Russian Workshop on Combustion, October 16, 2001, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa

The Israeli and Russian Sections of the Combustion Institute organize a Joint Workshop on Combustion. The Workshop will take place on October 16, 2001 at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. It will consist of oral and poster presentations on different aspects of combustion. Leading Israeli and Russian scientists in the field of gas, liquid and solid combustion will participate in the Joint Meeting.
The one-day Workshop will be held within the framework of the VI International Symposium on Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis (SHS-2001). All information on the SHS-2001 could be found at the website: http://www.ism.ac.ru/events/shs2001/index.htm

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Authors are requested to submit a one-page abstract, as soon as possible, but no later than August 1, 2001 by e-mail to aervaro@aerodyne.technion.ac.il as an attached file in MS Word version. Do not encode or compress the text.
Notification of acceptance will be made by about mid-August, 2001.
A Book of Abstracts will be available to all participants.

REGISTRATION FEES

Registration fee for the participants of Workshop is $120, and for students is $60. Participants of the SHS-2001 Symposium may take part in the Workshop at no additional fee. The fee includes Workshop registration, Book of Abstracts, refreshment breaks, lunch, as well as participation in the evening banquet.

BANQUET

A joint banquet for the SHS-2001 and Combustion Workshop participants will take place during the evening of October 16, 2001 in the excavated Crusaders Halls of Acre (Acco). An enjoyable event with food and music is planned. Free transportation from the Technion and back will be available.
Workshop participants get free invitation. Additional banquet tickets can be purchased for the price of $40.
