A noticeable event expects ISMAN in the end of this year. A new building (floor space about
1 000 m2) for shock-related experiments is planned to come into being. This aseismic building
is equipped with two spherical blasting chambers: one for shock processing and synthesis while another,
for pilot-scale shock-driven production of materials and items. There are special boxes for storage,
preparation, and pelleting of explosives as well as premises for personnel and scientific
instruments. The relevant line of research — shock-assisted preparation of new materials — is
