At ISMAN, a new process for manufacturing wear-resistant ceramic nozzles for use in sand blasting machines has been suggested. The wear resistance of SHS-produced titanium diboride, silicon carbide and titanium carbide (under standard testing conditions) was found to be higher than that of commercially available tungsten-cobalt alloys by a factor of several dozens.
The method can be used to produce either round nozzles 3-30 mm in the diameter of exit section or slit nozzles up to 50 x 250 mm in size.
We invite you to cooperation in R & D work on this basis. Other forms of cooperation are also possible.
