       The Handbook contains information about research and development in the field of the SHS-autowave chemical processes transforming initial reagents into valuable substances and materials.
       The practical interest to SHS process (combustion synthesis) is connected with such important features as: saving of resources, high technological output, technical and economical efficiency. All projects are presented in a standard form suitable for information apprehension.
       The Handbook contains 3 chapters: MATERIALS (items, coatings, catalysts, pigments, powders, products based on SHS-materials), TECHNOLOGIES (laboratory and industrial scale) and EQUIPMENT (laboratory, industrial, devices).
       The Handbook contains description of 151 projects, about 700 bibliographic references, 47 addresses for contact with specialists of ISMAN and other organizations in Russia, countries of the former USSR and abroad.
